Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 5, 2026

Last updated: June 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Na Liang, an individual based in Bavaria, Germany, collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information in connection with the Audio Speed Changer mobile application and related support, analytics, diagnostics, and feedback activities.

Audio Speed Changer allows users to import audio and video files, modify pitch and speed, and export the resulting files. The App is distributed through the Apple App Store and is intended for global availability.

A key privacy point is that audio and video files selected by users are processed locally on the user's device. We do not upload, collect, review, store, sell, or share the contents of those audio or video files through our own servers.

1. Who we are

Provider: Na Liang, an individual and not a registered company.

Location: Bavaria, Germany

Privacy contact: privacy@hkdkfih.dev

For personal information collected through the App, analytics, diagnostics, support communications, and feedback tools, we generally act as the data controller because we determine what personal information is collected and why. Where third-party service providers process information on our behalf, they act as processors, service providers, or equivalent roles under their own applicable terms and data protection commitments.

2. Scope of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Audio Speed Changer mobile application, its App Store listing, app-related support communications, diagnostic activities, analytics, and feedback features.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to Apple, the Apple App Store, PostHog, UserJot, or any other third-party service when those parties process information under their own privacy notices, terms, or legal responsibilities.

The App does not currently have a corresponding website. As a result, website-specific cookie disclosures are not included as a separate Cookie Policy. If a website, web-based policy page, webview, or cookie-based tracking feature is added later, this Privacy Policy should be reviewed and updated.

3. Local audio and video processing

When you import audio or video files into the App, those files are used so the App can perform the functions requested by you, including speed adjustment, pitch adjustment, preview, and export.

The contents of your selected audio and video files are processed locally on your device. This means the media content itself is not transmitted to us, uploaded to our servers, stored by us, or used by us for analytics, advertising, product development, artificial intelligence training, or any other separate purpose.

Exported files are created and handled according to your own actions, your device settings, and the locations or apps you choose when saving or sharing the exported file. We are not responsible for third-party apps, storage locations, or sharing destinations that you select outside Audio Speed Changer.

Although media file contents are not uploaded to us, technical information about how the App is used may still be collected, such as export counts, app events, crash information, device identifiers, IP address, and analytics data as explained below.

4. Personal information we collect

The personal information we collect depends on how you use the App, your device settings, the permissions you grant, and whether you choose to contact us or submit feedback.

Technical and device information: IP address, device identifiers , device type, operating system, app version, language settings, approximate location derived from IP address or technical signals, and diagnostic information.

Usage statistics and behaviour information: app launches, feature use, export counts, interaction events, performance information, and similar analytics data used to understand and improve the App.

Crash logs and diagnostic information: This may include technical information about the device, operating system, app version, error type, time of the error, and events leading to the error. Crash logs are intended to help us identify and fix technical problems, not to collect the contents of your audio or video files.

Feedback and support information: the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, name or username, feedback text, support request details, screenshots or attachments you choose to submit, and related communication records.

We do not intentionally collect special category or sensitive personal information through the App, such as health data, religious beliefs, political opinions, biometric identifiers used for identification, racial or ethnic origin, trade union membership, sexual orientation, or criminal offence information.

5. Information we do not collect

Media file contents: We do not collect the contents of audio or video files that you import, process, or export through the App.

Payment card data: We do not collect payment card numbers through the App. If Apple processes any App Store transaction, Apple handles that transaction under its own terms and privacy practices.

Accounts and public content: We do not operate user accounts in the App based on the information provided to us, and the App does not accept or publish public user-generated content.

Children under 13: We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and the App is not directed to children under 13.

Sale of data and targeted ads: We do not sell personal information, and we do not currently use third-party advertising networks for targeted advertising in the App.

6. How we collect information

We collect information directly from you when you contact us, submit feedback, send a support request, or otherwise choose to provide information to us.

We collect certain information automatically when you use the App, including analytics, technical, device, diagnostic, and crash information.

We may receive information from third-party service providers used to operate analytics, diagnostics, feedback, support, hosting, security, and business administration functions.

7. Why we use personal information

App operation: provide, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve Audio Speed Changer.

Analytics and improvement: usage statistics and analytics to understand how users interact with the App, how often certain features are used, how many exports are completed, which technical issues occur, and how the App can be improved.

Diagnostics and stability: crash logs and diagnostic information to detect bugs, reproduce errors, improve stability, assess compatibility, and protect the technical performance of the App.

Feedback and support: feedback and support information to respond to user enquiries, review suggestions, manage product feedback, and improve the App.

Legal and administrative purposes: maintain records, comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, enforce our rights, investigate misuse, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

8. Lawful bases for processing

Where EU GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal information only where we have a lawful basis to do so.

Contract or requested steps: provide the App or take steps requested by you, including when you contact us for support or use app functionality.

Legitimate interests: operating and improving the App, understanding feature usage, fixing bugs, preventing misuse, maintaining security, responding to enquiries, keeping business records, and protecting our legal rights, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.

Consent: consent is required by applicable law, including where you voluntarily provide feedback, agree to certain optional features, or where a specific permission or privacy setting requires consent.

Legal obligations and claims: comply with legal obligations or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

9. App permissions and device access

The App may request access to files, storage, media libraries, or similar device features where this is necessary for you to import, process, save, or export audio and video files.

Permissions are used to perform the functions requested by you. Granting a device permission does not mean that we upload your media files to our servers.

You may manage app permissions through your device settings. If you disable certain permissions, some App features may not work properly or may be unavailable.

10. Analytics, diagnostics, and feedback tools

PostHog Analytics: collect usage statistics and analytics information, such as event data, feature usage, export counts, technical identifiers, app activity, and information that helps us understand and improve the App.

PostHog may process information such as distinct identifiers, event properties, IP-derived location information, device and app details, screen or event information, and diagnostic signals depending on the App configuration and the PostHog tools enabled.

UserJot feedback: collect feedback when you choose to open and use the feedback feature. UserJot is only used when you intentionally interact with the feedback option, and the information collected may include your feedback message, contact details you choose to provide, and related technical or communication information.

Crash logging and diagnostics: crash logging or diagnostic systems to collect error reports and technical information needed to identify and fix App problems. These systems are not intended to collect your audio or video file contents.

11. App Store and Apple privacy information

Because Audio Speed Changer is distributed through the Apple App Store, Apple may collect, process, and display information about downloads, installations, App Store interactions, crash reports, device information, purchases if applicable, and other information under Apple's own privacy terms and App Store policies.

Apple requires app developers to provide accurate App Store privacy information describing data collection, data use, third-party SDK practices, and whether data is linked to users or used for tracking. The App's App Store privacy information should remain consistent with this Privacy Policy and should be updated if the App's data practices change.

Data that remains only on the user's device, such as locally processed audio or video content that is not transmitted off the device to us or a third-party provider, is treated differently from data that is collected or transmitted for analytics, diagnostics, support, or similar purposes.

We do not currently use the App to track users across apps or websites owned by other companies for targeted advertising or advertising measurement. If this changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and comply with applicable consent and platform requirements, including Apple App Tracking Transparency where required.

12. Cookies and similar technologies

The App does not currently have a corresponding website, and we do not use website cookies through a corresponding website.

Mobile apps and third-party SDKs may use technologies that perform similar functions to cookies, such as local storage, app identifiers, device identifiers, event IDs, diagnostic identifiers, or analytics identifiers.

These technologies may be used to operate analytics, remember technical states, manage diagnostic queues, measure performance, detect errors, and improve the App. You may be able to limit certain tracking or identifier-based processing through your device settings or through any controls made available in the App or by third-party platforms.

13. Who we share personal information with

Service providers: service providers who help us operate, analyze, maintain, secure, and improve the App, provided they need the information for legitimate business or technical purposes.

Current third-party services: PostHog Analytics for analytics and usage measurement, and UserJot for optional user feedback.

Business and technical support providers: analytics, crash reporting, feedback management, cloud infrastructure, hosting, communications, IT support, security, professional advisory, legal, tax, accounting, compliance, and business administration services.

Legal and safety disclosures: required by law, court order, regulator request, legal process, or where reasonably necessary to protect our rights, property, safety, users, systems, or the public.

Business transfers: prospective buyers, advisers, successors, or similar parties if the App, related assets, or business activities are sold, transferred, merged, reorganized, or otherwise changed.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising as those terms may be defined under applicable U.S. state privacy laws.

14. International transfers

The personal information we collect is stored and processed in Germany and may also be processed in other countries where our service providers, infrastructure providers, or third-party tools operate.

If personal information is transferred outside your country, region, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Canada, or Australia, we will take steps designed to ensure the transfer is handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

Those steps may include relying on adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, data processing agreements, contractual safeguards, or other lawful transfer mechanisms where required.

15. How long we keep personal information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including operating the App, responding to support requests, reviewing feedback, improving the App, maintaining records, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and protecting our rights.

Analytics and diagnostic information may be retained in identifiable, pseudonymous, aggregated, or anonymized form for as long as reasonably necessary to understand App performance, usage trends, technical issues, and product improvement needs.

Feedback and support communications may be retained for as long as needed to respond to the request, maintain business records, review product feedback, and handle follow-up issues.

Where you make a valid deletion request and no legal, security, contractual, technical, or legitimate retention reason applies, we aim to delete or anonymize the relevant personal information within 30 days.

We may retain information for longer where required or permitted for legal, tax, accounting, regulatory, fraud-prevention, security, complaint-handling, evidential, or dispute-resolution purposes.

16. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Local processing of audio and video files helps reduce the amount of media content transmitted outside your device. However, no app, network, device, storage system, or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your own device, operating system, Apple ID, files, storage locations, backups, and any third-party apps or services you choose to use when saving or sharing exported files.

17. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you.

Correction: You may have the right to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information.

Deletion or erasure: You may have the right to request deletion or erasure of personal information in certain circumstances.

Restriction: You may have the right to request restriction of processing in certain circumstances.

Objection: You may have the right to object to certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing.

Data portability: You may have the right to data portability in relation to certain information and certain processing activities.

Withdrawal of consent: Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out before withdrawal.

The App does not currently provide an automatic in-app personal information download feature. You may contact us using the details in this Privacy Policy to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or other rights available under applicable law.

We may ask you to verify your identity before responding to a privacy request. This helps protect your information from unauthorized access or deletion.

18. EU GDPR and UK GDPR disclosures

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region where GDPR-style laws apply, you may have rights under applicable data protection law, including the rights to be informed, access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, and withdrawal of consent.

For most App-related processing, Na Liang acts as the data controller. We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer based on the information currently provided, and privacy enquiries should be sent to privacy@hkdkfih.dev.

You may have the right to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority. We encourage you to contact us first so we can review and try to resolve your concern.

If personal information is transferred outside the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we will use appropriate safeguards where required, such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

19. U.S. state privacy disclosures

This section applies to residents of U.S. states with applicable privacy laws, including California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Virginia, and Utah, to the extent those laws apply to us and to your personal information.

In the past 12 months, we may have collected approximate location information, app usage information, diagnostics, and feedback or support information you choose to provide.

We collect this information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing and improving the App, analytics, product development, diagnostics, support, security, recordkeeping, legal compliance, and protection of rights.

We may disclose personal information to service providers and other parties described in this Privacy Policy for business purposes. We do not sell personal information and do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising.

Depending on your state and the law that applies, you may have the right to know or access personal information, request deletion, request correction, obtain a copy of your information, opt out of sale or sharing where applicable, opt out of targeted advertising where applicable, limit certain sensitive personal information uses where applicable, and appeal certain decisions.

You may exercise applicable rights by contacting us at privacy@hkdkfih.dev. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights available under applicable law.

20. Australian Privacy Act disclosures

If the Australian Privacy Act and Australian Privacy Principles apply to your personal information, you may request access to personal information we hold about you and request correction of inaccurate, out-of-date, incomplete, irrelevant, or misleading information.

We may process information outside Australia, including in Germany and in countries where our service providers operate. Where applicable, we will take reasonable steps designed to handle cross-border disclosures in accordance with applicable Australian privacy requirements.

If you have a privacy complaint, please contact us first. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may have the right to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

21. Canadian PIPEDA disclosures

If the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act or similar Canadian privacy laws apply to your personal information, you may have rights to access personal information, request correction, withdraw consent subject to legal or contractual limits, and complain about our privacy practices.

We collect personal information only for identified purposes and limit collection to information reasonably necessary for those purposes. We use safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information and retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Your personal information may be processed outside Canada, including in Germany and in countries where our service providers operate. Privacy protections in those countries may differ from Canadian privacy protections.

If you have a privacy concern, please contact us first. If the issue is not resolved, you may have the right to contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or another applicable Canadian privacy authority.

22. Children's privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 and does not target children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review the issue and take appropriate action.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child where parental consent or another legal basis was required and not obtained, we will delete or anonymize the relevant information where required by law.

23. Feedback, support, and user submissions

The App does not accept or publish public user-generated content based on the information provided to us.

If you submit feedback, support requests, suggestions, screenshots, attachments, or other information through UserJot, email, or another support channel, we will use that information to respond, manage the request, understand user needs, improve the App, and maintain appropriate records.

Please do not submit sensitive personal information, confidential information, or audio or video file contents through feedback or support channels unless it is necessary for your request and you are comfortable sharing it with us and the relevant service provider.

24. Third-party links and services

The App may include links, buttons, integrations, or references to third-party services, including Apple, PostHog, UserJot, or support-related tools.

Those third-party services may process information under their own privacy policies and terms. We do not control all third-party processing, security practices, retention periods, or privacy choices, and you should review the relevant third-party notices where appropriate.

25. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App, our data practices, third-party services, legal requirements, platform requirements, or business operations.

If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify users where required by law or platform rules, such as by updating the App Store privacy policy link, updating the policy location, or providing another appropriate notice.

The updated version will be effective from the date shown at the top of the Privacy Policy unless a different effective date is stated.
